What’s your favorite exercise?
Anything that requires the recruitment of multiple muscle groups. My goal during a workout is to keep my heart rate up and to workout as efficiently as possible. By combining upper and lower body exercises I am able to achieve this. I LOVE lunging, so lunges with a bicep curl would be a good example of something I would do.
What’s your least favorite exercise?
LEG EXTENSIONS! It doesn’t matter how much I do them--my muscles still scream every time!
What does your personal fitness regimen look like?
I aim for five days per week. I feel best when I do three full-body resistance-training workouts per week and five days of cardio. I really enjoy running outdoors, but try to vary it with other forms to constantly challenge my body.
How do you fit a workout into a crazy day?
If my day is too crazy for a full workout I will usually do a cardio interval workout. I’ll vary sprints, slow jogs and hills to get my heart pumping.
What’s the best part of being a personal trainer?
Helping people feel better than they ever imagined possible. So many people suffer from aches and pains that they consider permanent. A lot of times these aches are caused by muscle imbalances that can be corrected with a little dedication and guidance. Seeing people get relief and reach on towards their goals is so rewarding.
