What’s your favorite exercise?
The clean and press. It’s the best total body movement. It requires strength, balance, and coordination.

What’s your least favorite exercise?
Sit-ups; they are ineffective and harmful.

What does your personal fitness regimen look like?
Cardio 4-5 times per week (includes treadmill and floor drills); resistance training 3 times a week. I love building muscles. Call me old fashioned. My resistance training routines include weight training, balance training, and reactive training. I also go ice skating 2-3 times per week, when time permits. It has become a passion of mine. I love the challenge and the freedom that skating gives.

How do you fit a workout into a crazy day?
As cliché as it sounds, I just have to do it. I have such a respect for my clients. They not only do this because they have to, they don't have the luxury of having the facility 10 feet away. So whenever I think I don't have the time, I just do it.

What’s the best part of being a personal trainer?
Having the ability to change someone's life for the better. There are so many ways we can do that. Helping a client achieve their weight loss goals, determining why certain parts of their body hurt and then relieving that pain, and helping them realize that you don't have to be fanatical to be fit.
